First Federal Bank was organized in 1935 as First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Lexington. It was the vision of a team of nine local citizens to establish a safe and sound financial institution to serve the Lexington community. Their goal was to provide funds to finance home loans while protecting and insuring the investments of its savers.

First Federal has steadily grown throughout the years by utilizing sound business practices. A variety of deposit products have been offered with depositors' funds being invested in sound, well-underwritten loans and investments. Over the years, we have expanded our operations to include our main office located in downtown Lexington and three branch offices including one in Georgetown.

In January 2000, First Federal Savings and Loan Association adopted a mutual savings bank charter and changed its corporate title to First Federal Bank. With changing technology and customer needs, management believed the new title would better reflect the types of services provided to our customers.

Today, First Federal Bank continues to be Lexington's oldest independent financial institution with a reputation for friendly, personal service. We are proud of our good standing in the community and we are committed to providing our customers the best services possible to meet their changing needs.
